The purpose of Bethel Church is to make and develop disciples for Jesus Christ, locally and around the world.

 

What We Believe

Bethel Church has both a Statement of Faith and a Constitution that outline our beliefs and practices as a congregation.

 

Our Pastors

I am blessed to serve here at Bethel as a pastor since 2011. I am married to the love of my life, Irma and we have 3 amazing children, and 3 energetic grandsons. Daughters Carly & Travis Krahn, Marissa & Cody Nickel and our son, Ryan. Irma and I are huge Toronto Maple Leafs fans and we enjoy playing or watching pretty much any sport. We love playing games, camping and travelling. It is my desire that my life and our family reflect the joy that comes from attempting to walk in obedience to Christ in every aspect of life.

It's my passion to challenge others to "be real" in their faith as they seek to follow our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A verse of Scripture that sums up who I attempt to be is 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and self-discipline." I hope that God can use me to reflect His love and passion to build into people’s lives.

I am honoured to have started serving Bethel as Pastor in August 2023. I grew up attending Bethel, so this church has been special to me for many years.

I married my wonderful wife Kristen in 2016. We have been blessed with two daughters, Myla and Chloe, who have a wonderful way of keeping us busy. I am a student of whatever I do and have been described as someone that is "all in". This is reflected in both my golf game and my study of God’s Word. I firmly believe the more we study the Word, the more we know and love God, the more we become like Christ (John 17:17).

A passage of Scripture that I keep coming back to as I journey through life is Micah 7:18-20. It is the wonder of the gospel. It is my goal in life to reflect the gospel in word and deed wherever I go and whatever I do.

I joined serving at Bethel spring of 2021 and have enjoyed being part of the team! I was born in Morden, Manitoba and have grown up in the area, while attending Steinbach Bible College I met my wife Rachelle who is from Fort Saint John British Columbia.
My wife and I, along with our sons Isaiah and Jaxon enjoy hosting people, spending many hours outside, camping, hiking, gardening, biking/walking and playing pretty much every sport.

I oversee the Senior and Junior youth programs as well as the young adults programs. Over the years God has provided me with many opportunities within these programs as well as at camp, schools and the community to serve him and walk alongside others. Through these experiences I have continued to grow in my desire to point teens towards God and walk alongside them in this journey of life. I believe that believers, young and old, are called to set an example for each other in speech, conduct, love, and faith (1 Timothy 4:12). My goal is to exemplify this towards those I encounter.

I joined the pastoral team at Bethel as the Children’s Ministry Pastor in August 2026. I grew up in southern Saskatchewan and attended Briercrest College for four years. During my time at Briercrest, I met my wife, Payton. We both love hockey and have spent plenty of time together at rinks across Western Canada. We also love to travel and enjoy visiting new places, experiencing different cultures, and taking in new landscapes.

I oversee the children’s ministries here at Bethel and have a desire to disciple the next generation while also coming alongside and supporting those who faithfully serve in these ministries. Over the years, I have worked with both youth and children in a variety of settings, and God has increasingly laid on my heart the importance of sharing the good news of the gospel with the next generation and being intentional in their discipleship.

My prayer is that, as a church, we would recognize the importance of passing on the truth and beauty of the gospel to the children in our church and community like the psalmist tells us to in Psalm 78:1-8!
